In some circumstances, no agreement can be reached between the parties. In such cases, it may become necessary to commence proceedings (file an application) at the Family Court seeking orders in relation to the issues in dispute.
It is now a general requirement that parties must obtain a Family Dispute Resolution Certificate prior to the commencement of child-related proceedings, subject to various exceptions.
