DS Family Law Mandurah

In addition to our Perth CBD and Midland offices, our family lawyers in Mandurah can also provide you with personalised, face-to-face, exclusive family law services.

Our Mandurah office is nestled in the bustling business district along Pinjarra Road, close to the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre and the Mandurah Forum. Our local presence in the Mandurah area allows us to provide family law services to the greater southern metropolitan area, the City of Bunbury and townships such as Pinjarra, Harvey and Collie, to name but a few.

Our Family Lawyers in Mandurah

We have enjoyed a long-established presence in Mandurah and the Peel Region since we opened our Mandurah Office doors in June 2011, and we now have 2 Solicitors (Amy James and Rachael King) practising exclusively in family law who can provide you with all the family law advice, assistance and representation you need. Why fight Perth traffic and parking when the same family law expertise and knowledge is available on your doorstep almost immediately?

In November 2020, Amy completed her Masters’ Degree in family law, having practised solely in the jurisdiction since 2011. Rachael similarly completed her Masters’ Degree (in family law) in May 2019. Both Amy and Rachael work predominantly in our Mandurah Office except when appearing in the Family Court in Perth, when they spend their day at the Perth Office – and you are not charged for travelling time!

As always, our In-House Counsel and Managing Director, Milos Supljeglav is on hand to assist with any complex interim arguments or final hearings (Trials), avoiding the additional cost, time and uncertainty involved in briefing external Barristers who might only familiarise themselves with your case at the last minute. Milos has 20 years’ practising exclusively in family law and has conducted many Trials, as well as having numerous successful Appeals under his belt.

Mandurah clients can have the “best of both worlds” by our Solicitors being familiar with the local environment and ongoing social, economic and political issues, but also by their being part of a tight-knit, cohesive, interactive team that provides clients with the opportunity to benefit from the family law advice of more than just one or two family lawyers.

Our weekly Solicitor meetings allow for the sometimes diverse but experienced opinions of 9 family lawyers to be aired, and for them to collectively discuss your case and consider the best available strategy, as well as the likely outcome if proceeding to Trial. Gone are the days of being stuck with one legal opinion – where else would you pay for one family lawyer but receive the benefit, experience and wisdom of 9?

Our Connection to Mandurah & Peel

DS Family Law has a long association with the Peel Chamber of Commerce, and our Solicitors routinely participate in Chamber functions to maintain their relationships over a wide range of professional member organisations and keep up to date with local business developments.

The networks we have established over the past decade with other local professionals have been instrumental in our maintaining a high degree of competence in our specialist family law field and knowing the best people to engage for external expert advice. Our involvement in the Chamber brings credibility to our standing in the business community, heightens our visibility throughout the Peel Region and profiles our Firm as one of the few family law firms practising exclusively in family law in the area.

Mandurah is situated just under an hour’s drive from the Perth CBD and forms WA’s second largest city, having a population of approximately 100,000 people. Our Office is situated in the heart of the business district on Pinjarra Road. Traditionally a boating and fishing retirement centre, Mandurah has re-invented itself over the past 20 years with the establishment of many small-medium sized businesses and up-market housing built along the banks of its canals.

The city’s name derives from a Noongar phrase meaning “meeting place” or “trading place”. Come and meet us in our Mandurah Office for an initial, no obligation appointment and let us help you resolve what is no doubt one of the most difficult times in your life.
